Zayn Koen George, 1, of Havelock, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025.

A funeral service to honor Zayn’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 16 at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City, officiated by Pastor Manley Rose. Interment will follow at Broad Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Zayn was born on September 29, 2023, in Morehead City, NC, to Malik George and Brittany Schutte. He was the most energetic 1 year old with an infectious personality and a smile to match. Zayn never met a stranger and always had a laugh with his head thrown back.

"Go Zayn, Go Zayn" would make him just drop it down and start dancing! He loved entertaining and making people smile. From snacking on his favorite fries and apple juice to watching his shows, Zayn was happiest being with his family. When he was mischievous, he would throw pool balls across the room and would run away with his laugh echoing because he knew he wasn’t supposed to do that.

Another favorite pastime was giving his dog his Lego’s to chew up. Climbing onto the bed snuggling up to daddy was another of his cherished moments, along with playing patty cake with his mama, and showcasing his love and affectionate nature. Despite his size Zayn had such an enormous personality! He was such a bright light and anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him couldn’t help but fall in love with him! Zayn was a true mama’s boy and always the bestest boy!

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his loving mother, Brittany Schutte and dedicated father, Malik George of Havelock, NC; sister, Emory Boyd of Havelock, NC; brothers, Ethan Boyd and Kayden George of Havelock, NC; mimi, Tonya Schutte of Havelock, NC; grandma, Paula George of Havelock, NC; poopop, Alvin Schutte of Havelock, NC; great-grandparents, Cristley and Lula George of Havelock, NC; aunts, Coranita George of Havelock, NC, and Shelly George of Havelock, NC; and many more aunts, uncles, and cousins.
