Winston L. Fulcher, Sr.

Winston L. Fulcher, Sr., 86, of Morehead City, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Croatan Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

His funeral service will be held Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Munden Funeral Home Chapel in Morehead City, officiated by Reverend Ernest Laxton. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.

Winston served his country faithfully for 22 years in the United States Coast Guard. He could often be found fishing or trawling for shrimp.  When he wasn’t on the water you could find him tinkering in the garage, he could fix anything, he enjoyed woodworking projects and building bird houses.

He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Saunders of Wewahitchka, FL; sons, Winston Fulcher, Jr., and wife Sandra of Newport, Steven Ray Fulcher of Newport; brother, Melvin Fulcher and wife Vicky of Marshallberg; grandchildren, Christopher “Toby” Ake and wife Jennifer of Wewahitchka, FL, Nicole Perez of Phoenix, AZ, Stevie Fulcher of LaGrange, NC; and great-grandchildren, Brandon Ake and Natalie Grace Ake.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Golda Fulcher; parents, Monnie and Vienna Fulcher; and brothers, Monnie Fulcher, Jr., Grady Fulcher, Wesley Fulcher and Roland Fulcher.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City
