Winslow H. Schraffenberger

Winslow H. Schraffenberger, Jr., 80, of Sea Level, died peacefully at home Wednesday, December 1, 2010.
Services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Schraffenberger served in the US Army during the Korean War and was honored with the Purple Heart.
He is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Schraffenberger of the home, and Karen Yanovich of FL; four sons, John Schraffenberger of OK, Michael Schraffenberger, Joseph Schraffenberger, and William Schraffenberger, all of FL; a sister, Mary Stanley of NH; a brother, Ralph Schraffenberger of MA; three grandchildren, Derek Schraffenberger of AK, Kerri Ann Yanovich of FL, and John Paul Schraffenberger of OK; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Claire Schraffenberger.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sea Level Fire Department and Rescue Squad, PO Box 69, Sea Level, NC 28577.
