Willis Odom, Jr.

Willis Odom, Jr., 70, of New Bern, passed away Monday, December 04, 2017 at Carolina East Medical Center.

His funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Bridgeton Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Kenneth Dixon and Rev. Louis Pender officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow at Odom Family Cemetery in New Bern.

Willis served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was the owner and operator of Willis Odom Roofing for over 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Dorinda Jenkins Odom of the home; daughters, Vicki O. Wallace and husband Gary of Pinetown, and Erica Boos and husband Allen of New Bern; sons, Willis P. Odom, III and Steve Odom and wife Christina of Newport; father, Willis P. Odom, Sr. of New Bern; brothers, Timothy Odom of New Bern and Alton Odom and wife Jenny of Atlantic Beach; sisters, Linda Williams and husband Robert of New Bern and Delores Wiggins and husband Ray of New Bern; also grandchildren, Dylan Parker, Blake Odom, Gavin Odom, Anne Blair Wallace, and Bella Grace Odom.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sue Mae Odom.

The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Friday, December 8, 2017 at Bridgeton Pentecostal Holiness Church.
