Willie Thompson Pittman, Sr.

Willie T. Pittman, Sr., 72, of Newport, died Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at his home surrounded by family.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday at Munden Funeral Home with Rev. Peter Minks officiating.
Willie worked as a commercial fisherman all his life.
He is survived by two children, a daughter, Julia Ann Pittman of Bridgeton, NC, and a son, Willie T. Pittman, Jr. and wife Sandi of Newport, NC; two sisters, Roberta Mason of Morehead City, NC and Alberta Walters of Morehead City, NC; one brother, Donald Pittman of Otway; former daughter in-law. Patrina Ozmore; three grandchildren, Christopher Lehman and wife Susan, Bridgette Pittman and fiancee Jacob Harris, and Catherine Pittman; and three great grandchildren, Ayden Harris, Conley Harris, and Tyler Lehman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Pittman, parents, Fernie and Alpha Pittman, brother, Billy Pittman, and sister Tina Pittman.
Visitation will follow the service at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial cards can be sent to the family.
