Willie Bridgewater

Willie James Bridgewater, Sr., 75, of Newport, died Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Britthaven of Havelock.
Mr. Bridgewater retired from the US Marine Corps in 1972 with 20 years of honarable service in which he served during the Vietnam War and the Korean Conflict, and then went to work for the US Naval Housing retiring in 2004.
Services will be held 10:00 am Thursday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday at the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.
He is survived by his wife, Eiko Bridgewater of the home; daughter, Terry Bridgewater of Newport; son, Willie Bridgewater, Jr. of Orlando, FL; step-son, Chris Snell of Los Angeles, CA; step-daughter, Michele Snell of Los Angeles, CA; sister, Rose Gordon of Indianapolis, IN; two brothers, George Morgan of Jackson, MI and Arjether Dreams, Jr. of Jackson, MI.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
