William "Willy" Wendell Wallace

William “Willy" Wendell Wallace, 42, of New Bern, NC passed on Sunday July 22, 2018 at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern, NC.

Willy was born to George and Carol Wallace in Highland Lakes, NJ. He lived briefly in Raleigh, NC before moving to Kinston, NC. As a small child he moved to Emerald Isle. and later to Sea Gate in Newport. Willy attended Beaufort Schools and Carteret County High School. He eventually continued his studies  in Greenville. Willy was known to many as his big personality led him to interact with numerous people in Carteret County and beyond. Some of his favorite times were spent boating along the nearby coasts and islands. Willy held numerous part time jobs before his health declined.

He is survived by his mother, Carol Wallace-Baker of Sea Level, NC; half-sisters, Karen Honeycutt of Colorado Springs, CO and Linda Drobinske of Dolores, CO; brother, Wesley Wallace and his wife, Lisa Wallace, of Beaufort, NC; and many nieces and nephews.

Willy is preceded in death by his father, George Wallace.
