William TC "Buddy" Mason

William T.C. Mason “Buddy”, 75, of Beaufort, passed away on, Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 15, 2017 at Munden Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Supplee officiating. Burial will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens in Beaufort.
Buddy was best known for his love of conversation and sense of humor. He had a great love for animals and a gentle nature. He served in the Korean War while in the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart who later became his loving wife, Helen Mason; daughters, Lisa Vinston of New Bern, Angela Rouse and husband Marcus E. Rouse III of Beaufort; son, William T. Mason and fiancée Melissa Lea of Beaufort; granddaughter, Lindsey Jordan Mason; grandsons, Lindsey Scott Adams, Johnathan Adams, Daniel Vinston; 5 great grandchildren and his beloved friend and companion, who stayed always by his side, his cat Blacky Girl.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Ozella Etna Clark Mason of New Bern and loving son-in-law, Donny Vinston of Newport.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Munden Funeral Home.
