William "Billy" Beamon Jr.

William “Billy” Beamon Jr., 71, of Morehead City and formerly of Snow Hill, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at his home.

Billy was born on March 26, 1949, in Greene County, North Carolina, to the late William and Dorothy Beamon. He grew up in Walstonburg and was a graduate of Greene Central High School. Billy had a craftsman style like none other, he loved working with wood, building furniture and painting. He used his skill to create beautiful, one of a kind, furniture pieces that he was able to sell as a side business from his home.

He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Beamon Carraway and companion Mike Graff; son-in-law, Pyke Quillen of Morehead City; sister, Judy Tyer Howell and husband Lee of Kinston; brother, Dennis Beamon and wife Debbie of Snow Hill; grandchildren, Chase Carraway of Beaufort and Scotland McNeill of Morehead City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Beamon Quillen, and brother, Donald Beamon.
