William "Bill" Alfred Penelli Jr.

William “Bill” Alfred Penelli Jr., 76, of New Bern, passed away Monday, December 16, 2019, at Croatan Ridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Newport.

His funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 22, 2019, at Brice’s Creek Bible Church in James City, officiated by Pastor Judson Howry. Interment will follow at a later time at Coastal Carolina Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.

Bill honorably served in the United States Navy. He spent his career in New York where he worked for Lord and Taylor as a window dresser as well as free lancing for other retailers. His health prompted his retirement and move to Eastern Carolina where he could enjoy the warmer weather. He attended Brice’s Creek Bible Church where he enjoyed his church family. Bill will be remembered as a very artistic and creative man who will be sadly missed.

He is survived by sisters, Linda Riley and husband James of Havelock and Nancy Quiroz of Phoenix, Arizona; and brother, Anthony Penelli of New Bern.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen Penelli; and brother, Bradford Penelli.

Family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 22, 2019, at Brice’s Creek Bible Church in James City.
