He was a wonderful and supportive father to his boys, and he basked in their accomplishments and consoled in their disappointments. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting, gardening, foraging, and boating.  He was active in his community. He was elected as a member of the Jones County Board of Education. He was a member of the Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow, he volunteered at the Boys and Girl’s Club, and he was a volunteer at Broad Street Clinic, a free medical clinic.

He had many accolades throughout his career, including being honored as a Kentucky Colonel and was a MENSA member.  Bill had a strong faith.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church and recently visited Israel with his wife, fulfilling a lifetime dream.

Bill was a very intelligent, kind, and hard-working man.  He aimed to provide high quality health care to his patients, sharing his knowledge in meaningful ways, and providing a warm and loving heart to his family.  He will be deeply missed.
