William Floyd VanBuren

William “Billy” Floyd VanBuren, 72, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at Carteret Health Care.

William will be laid to rest at Coastal Carolina Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.

William, or Billy as he was more commonly known, was born on New Year’s Day, January 1, 1949, in Columbia, South Carolina, to the late Edward and Evelyn Van Buren. He honorably served in the United States Army. He was skilled as an electrician and was the owner and operator of his own business.
