William Kent Sturdivant Jr.

William Kent Sturdivant, Jr. passed away peacefully on Monday, April 29, 2024. 

Kent was born on March 16, 1934, in Wilkes County, NC, and served in the United States Army in Texas, Washington, DC, and California. Kent was greatly loved and will be missed and fondly remembered for his wit, stories about his amazing life experiences and loyalty to his family.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Sturdivant, Sr. and Madge Sturdivant; his sister, Nancy Sturdivant; his daughter, Leanne Sturdivant; and his great-grandchild, Joseph Dickens. 

Kent is survived by his daughter, Lisa Nathan; his son, William "Bill" Sturdivant, III; his niece, Heather Martinez; four grandchildren, Lara Klibansky, Ashley Jarvis, Taylor Sturdivant, and Leslie Sturdivant; and four great-grandchildren, Eleanor Klibansky, Elizabeth Dancy, Rowan Klibansky, and Clara Hofheimer."
