William "Billy" Austin Stokes,Jr., 77, of Greenville. SC died Wednesday January 23, 2013, at Moore Regional Hospital.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 Saturday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Friese officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane.
He is survived by his wife Martha Rogers Stokes: four childern William Stokes III and wife Andrea of Greenville, SC, Deborah Ruth Stokes of Greenville,SC, John Frank Stokes and wife Melissa of Greenville, SC, David Alan Stokes and wife Sandra of Easley : eight grandchildren Matthew, Landon, Ryan, Deirdre, Alix, Tristan, Zachary, and Austin: seven great grandchildren Isaac, Elijah, Peyton, Colton, Brandon, Dylan, and Kaleigh: sisters Geri Francis, and Anna Rush: and brothers Jack Stokes, and Johnny Stokes.
He was preceded in death by his parents William and Ruby Stokes, sisters Margie Stokes Bowers and Pat Wynne, and brother Jerry Stokes.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Munden Funeral Home.
