William Lesley Ridley, Jr. , 64, of Newport, NC, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Carteret General Hospital.
Private services to be held.
Mr. Ridley was employed with the UPS for 35 years in Manhattan, NY. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a Deacon Minister at Harvest Chapel in Beaufort.
He leaves in memory his wife of 42 years, Laverna Ellison Ridley; three daughters, Lesley Ridley, Arkeem Ridley and Heather Ridley Daniels all of New York; and five grandchildren, Genesis Ridley, Madison Ridley, Jorell Daniels, Saniya Ridley, and Nyle Ridley. He leaves also a brother, Curtis Ridley and wife Rosiland of Chesapeake, VA and their sons, Curtis Ridley, Jr., Kevin Ridley, and Kendall Ridley; and nephews, Mike Reynolds and LaVan Reynolds.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Hannah Ridley, and a sister, Irene Reynolds.
