William Parsons

Mitch Parsons, 53, of Morehead City, died Tuesday, November 4, 2009, at his home.

Along with his wife, Gilda, he owned and operated Parsons General Store in Morehead City for 28 years. Mr. Parsons captained the "Salty", which was the offshore fishing boat for Camps Seagull and Seafarer. He also captained the "Hattaboy" and "Chesapeake" as well. He was an avid water sportsman who enjoyed surfing, kite surfing and paddleboarding.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 1:00 to 4:00 pm Sunday at the home, 205 N. 21st St., Morehead City, NC. to celebrate Mitch's life.

In addition to his wife, Gilda Parsons of Morehead City, he is survived by son, Aaron Parsons and his girlfriend Rachel Potter and a son, Max Parsons; father, Bill Parsons of Wallace; mother, Shirley Parsons of Wilmington and sisters, Cindi Nathans and Kelly Fiore, both of Wilmington.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
