William MacRae Willis, 56, of Harkers Island, died Friday June 22, 2012 at his home.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at Red Hill Cemetery on Harkers Island Bishop Kevin Nelson of the Harkers Island Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating.
He served in the US Coast Guard and was honorably discharged. He was a boat builder..
He is survived by his wife Rhonda Willis of New Bern: mother Phyllis Willis of Harkers Island: daughters Jessica Willis Baracos of Straits, Lindsey Willis Fodrie and husband Joel of Smyrna, and Paige Willis of Harkers Island: step daughter Courtney Ross and husband John of Winterville: four grandsons Tyler and Nicholas Baracos, and Rafe and Luke Fodrie: brother Monty Willis and wife Maggie of DeKalb, TX,: three sisters Marla Lawrence and husband Kent of Harkers Island, Mikal Fulp and husband Larry of Newport, and Marianne Lawrence and husband Dwayne of Beaufort: best friend - his dog Loco; several nieces, nephews,and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father William Reed Willis, granddaughter Sydney Grace Fodrie, step-son Davin Fulford, and step-grandson Ethan Fulford.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday at Munden Funeral Home.
