William "Bill" Hill Howland Jr., 60, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.
Bill will be laid to rest privately at Gethsemane Memorial Park in Newport.
Born on April 8, 1964, in Morehead City, NC, Bill was the son of the late William H. Howland Sr. and Myrtle Long Howland. He graduated from West Carteret High School and remained in Morehead City throughout his life. As a talented mechanic, he was known and loved by so many in our community through at Howland Auto Service, the family business founded by his parents in the1960's.
Bill’s love for music was as strong as his love for NASCAR racing, attending numerous concerts and races over the years. One of the highlights of his life was the adventure of building 2 racecars with one of his best friends. They had a blast racing them in Eastern North Carolina along with all the fun times along the way.
Bill is survived by his sister Catherine Strozeski and her husband Joe of Chesapeake, VA; nieces, Cheyenne and Lacey Strozeski; and numerous friends.
