William J. Boudman, 78, of Newport died Tuesday November 15, at his home.

He was born and spent his childhood in Bloomsburg PA. At 18 he joined the USMC and was stationed at Camp Lejeune, where he met his wife Melba. He also served during the Korean Conflict. After his honorable discharge for the USMC he gained employment with the Lorillard Tabacco Company in Greensboro, NC, and retired after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Liberty Christian Church in Havelock.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years Melba T. Boudman of Newport: a daughter Cheryl Crow and husband Tommy of Reidsville: two grandchildren Katie Crow of Newport and Lt. Seth Crow of Fort Stewart, GA.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Carteret County PO Drawer 1619 Morehead City, NC 28557.
