William J. Beard

William J. Beard, 33, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville.

William was born on September 21, 1990, in Morehead City, North Carolina. Growing up in Newport, William attended Newport Elementary, Newport Middle School, and Croatan High School until the age of 16.

William lived life on his terms, finding joy in video games and matchbox cars. Despite facing multiple challenges, William maintained his passion for gaming throughout. He took pride in his collection of miniature cars and his ability to navigate virtual worlds with skill and precision. William's strength and resilience touched the hearts of all who knew him.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his loving mother, Doris Culpepper Beard of Newport, NC; brothers, Joshua Beard of Canton, GA, Harley Beard of Miami, FL, Richard Beard of Plant City, FL, and James Beard of Seffner, FL.

William was preceded in death by his father, Malcolm Beard.
