Willard Bill Brockington

Willard "Bill' Brockington,72, of Newport passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 at Crystal Coast Hospice House.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Munden Funeral Home Chapel.
Bill served four years in the USMC with two tours of Duty in Vietnam.He then had a full career with the US Army and retired at the rank of Master Sargent. He was extremely good with his hands with many creative hobbies and civilian jobs in maintenance. His strengths were evident in his woodworking and gemstone jewelry. Loving husband, father, and grandfather. Excellent teacher and bear hugger.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Sandra D. Brockington of the home; two daughters, Lisa Strong and husband George and Beth Hutchinson and husband Daniel all of Selma, NC; three brothers, George Benjamin Brockington Jr., Herbert Steven Brockington and William Belton Brockington; and one sister, Ann B. Cable; also two grandchildren, Bridgette Renee Jones and Cody William Strong.
He was preceded in death by his parents George Brockington and Mary B. Curtis; and sister Lourine B. Rierson.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Munden Funeral Home.
