Wesley “Butch” Pick, 78, of Havelock, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at Carolina East Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, July 9, 2018, with a time of fellowship to follow, at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City.
Butch grew up in Clark Mills, NY. He honorably served in the United States Navy. He married his one and only wife, Lois, upon exiting the military and they remained together for 55 years. Butch entered into Civil Service at Griffith’s Air Force Base until it closed in 1995, then moved to Havelock to work for MCAS Cherry Point. He retired after a long and successful career and remained in Havelock where he enjoyed fishing, golfing, NASCAR and spending time with family and friends.
Butch is survived by his wife, Lois Moran Pick, of Havelock; daughters, Rennè Pick of New Mexico,
Michelle Jones and husband, Trent, of Florida, Bernice Cadwell and husband, Bruce, of New York; 5 grandchildren, Wesley, Andrew, Brianna, Austin and Kyle.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Maria Pick and sister, Ellen “Skip” Carroll.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City OK 73123.
