Wayne Smith, 55, of Beaufort, died Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Crystal Coast Hospice House.
A memorial service with military honors will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Manley Rose officiating.
He served in the U.S Marine Corps, worked as a mechanic for FRC-East Cherry Point, NC. He loved to ride his Harley's with his friends.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Smith of the home; mother and step-father, Carrie R. and Dennis B. Rider of Hookerton; also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold David Smith, brother, Douglas Wade Smith, and grandparents, Perry Harold Smith and Opal Ruth Smith.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
