Wanda Lee Smith

Wanda Lee Smith, 67, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Carteret Health Care.

Wanda was born on June 19, 1957, in Chesapeake, Virginia, to the late George and Virgia Harker. She had a remarkable gift for creativity, expressing herself through her beautiful drawings, colorings, and crafts. Wanda always enjoyed the challenge of puzzles, which captivated her curiosity and kept her engaged.

More than anything, Wanda cherished her family and loved spending time with them. She will be remembered for her warmth and devotion as a loving mother and an extraordinary grandmother.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her daughters, Stacy Smith and Samantha Chadwick, both of Newport, NC; sons, Jason Wheeler (Brenda) of Newport, NC; sisters, Jennifer Seretti of Newport, NC, Sarah Leary (Rodney) of Newport, NC, and Karalynne Cole of Tennessee; brother, George Harker Jr. of Morehead City, NC; and grandchildren, Gage Wheeler, Kymbyrlee Chadwick, Kyianna Chadwick, Lexi Wheeler, and Savannah Guthrie.
