Walter "Mark" Salter
April 19, 1963 — November 11, 2016
Walter “Mark” Salter, 53, of Salter Path, passed away Friday, November 11, 2016 at Carolina East Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, November 14, 2016 at Salter Path United Methodist Church with Rev. David Bratton and Earl Boyd officiating. Interment will follow at Gales Creek Cemetery on US Hwy 24.
Mark was a commercial fisherman who loved life. He especially enjoyed playing in his band with his friends. He will be missed by many.
Mark is survived by his uncle, Bryan Salter of Newport; Aunts, Cindy Allen of Newport and Ellen Guthrie of Morehead City; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Doris Salter.
The family will welcome friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Salter Path Methodist Church.
