Walter H. Pierce, Sr.

Walter H. Pierce, Sr., 82, of Beaufort, passed away Friday, December 14­, 2018, at his home.

Walter worked for the Army Corp Engineers for 39 years on USACE Vessels McFarland and Gerig.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Pierce, of the home; sons, Walter H. Pierce, Jr. and wife, Erika, of Beaufort and Johnny Pierce and companion, Justine Johnson, of Morehead City; grandchildren, Danny Pierce, Brittney Lambert and her husband Josh, and Johnny Pierce, Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Draven Ray Pierce, Landon Pierce and Jaxson Ray Pierce.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary G. Pierce; mother, Mary Pierce; father, Roy J. Pierce, Sr.; sister, Barbara Anderson; and brother, Roy J. Pierce, Jr.
