Ret. U.S. Navy, Walter Corder, 83, of Morehead City, passed away August 3, 2013 at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Bayview Cemetery.
He was retired U.S. Navy, serving in the Vietnam and Korean War. He worked with civil service at Cherry Point, and a security guard for Pinkerton and Jungle Land on Atlantic Beach. He was a member of Masonic Ocean Lodge # 405.
He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Bruno and husband Joe and Geri Walters all of Morehead City; two sons, James W. Reid and wife Connie of Deleware and Martin L. Reid and wife Betty of Virginia; sister, Judy Roseberry and husband James of Durham; also 14 grandchildren, 31 greatgrandchildren, and 3 great-greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Natalie Willis Corder, parents, Daisy Stickley Corder and Walter Corder, Sr., brother, Gary Corder, three grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.
The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday at Munden Funeral Home.
