Virginia "Ginny" Wright Harris

Virginia “Ginny” Wright Harris, 63, of Broad Creek, passed away Monday, March 11­, 2019, at her home.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.

Born in 1956 in Annapolis, Maryland, Ginny received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and continued on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing. She was dedicated to the healthcare field, assisting with home health, she volunteered with the special Olympics, and participated community work whenever possible.

Ginny loved family, she enjoyed weekends with family, family gatherings, holidays and loved cats. Some of her favorite hobbies included gardening, boating, being on the water and helping other people. Ginny was also an amazing cook, she delivered Christmas cookies to everyone she knew every year and made her family Scottish shortbread from a family recipe that has been passed down for generations.

She is survived by her son Kenneth Andrew Chase; brother, Henry R Harris II; and uncle, Bob Harris, all of whom live in North Carolina and Virginia.
