Virginia Dare Lockhart, 89, of Morehead City, NC died Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Carteret General Hospital.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Monday at Gethsemane Memorial Park with Pastor Paul Stallsworth officiating.
Mrs. Lockhart is survived by her brother, Claude Stoutamire and wife, Barbara of Tallahassee, FL; many nieces and nephews, including Bonnie Dunn of Morehead City, brother-in-law, Donald Earl Lockhart and wife, Edith of Beaufort, NC. She is also survived by her faithful canine companion, Molly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Lockhart, Sr.; daughter, Linda Dare Lockhart; and son, Mack Jesse Lockhart, Jr.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choosing.
