Virginia Frost Dixon
August 13, 1918 — June 18, 2013
Virginia Frost Dixon, 94, of Broad Creek, was called to be with the Lord, Tuesday June 18, 2013.
Her service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday at Broad Creek Church of God with the Pastor Wesley Holmes officiating. Interment will follow at the Broad Creek Community Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church, and following the interment in the church fellowship hall.
She spent her life in the Broad Creek Community, as a mother, housewife, and operated a grocery store until her retirement. She was loved by family and friends.
Virginia lived the past several months at Harborview Health Care Center in Morehead City, where she loved all who came across her path. To her Harborview Staff on 2nd floor, thank you for the love and great care she received.
She is survived by three daughters, Velda Garner and husband Terry of Broad Creek, Alberta Ball and husband JB of Cedar Key, and Naomi McMahan and husband Jerry of Wilmington; one son, Danny Dixon and wife Nancy of Newport; eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roosevelt Dixon and a son, Hedrick Lee Dixon.
Flowers are welcome, or memorials may be made to Broad Creek Church of God, 394 Broad Creek Loop Rd, Newport, NC 28570.
