Vida Mae Lewis Fulcher, 88, of Stacy, passed away Tuesday June 12, 2012, at Taylor Extended Care.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday June 15, at Stacy Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Ernest Laxton officiating. Interment will follow at Stacy Community Cemetery.
Vida was the daughter of William Cleveland Lewis and Nancy Elizabeth Lawrence of Otway. She is a member of Stacy Free Will Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School, she worked Cherry Point during WWII, shirt factory in Morehead City, and then went on to join the team at Snug Harbor as a baker.
She is survived by a daughter Judy Fulcher and husband Doily of King George, VA, and a son Jimmy Fulcher and companion Paula Day of Stacy, NC: brother James "Jim" Lewis of Harkers Island, NC: four grandchildren Doily Fulcher Jr., and wife Ellen of Puyallup, WA, Karen Breneman and husband Marcus of King George, VA, Daniel Fulcher of Washington, NC, and Jimmy Fulcher Jr., and wife Katie of Greenville, NC: five great grandchildren Brittany Matteson and husband Brighton, McKenzie Fulcher, Bryce Breneman, Brooke Breneman, and Julia Fulcher.
She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Fulcher, parents William and Nancy Lewis, and son Ronnie Clorance.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
