Vida Mae (Hill) Gillikin

Vida Hill Gillikin, 85, of Otway, died Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Crystal Bluffs.
Services will be held 11:00am Wednesday at Otway Christian Church with Rev. Jack Mumford officiating. Interment will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Gillikin was a lifetime member of Otway Christian Church. She was employed for 44 years with Morehead City Garment Company/ Blue Bell Inc.
She is survived by daughter, Judy Rose and husband Martin of Otway; sister, Revoda Gillikin of Otway; three grandchildren, Martin Rose, Jr. and wife Patti and Julie Van Gorder and husband Paul all of Chesapeake, VA, and Deidra Lewis of Beaufort; six greatgrandchildren, Madisyn VanGorder, Paul Van Gorder, Jr. and wife Lisa, Lathan Rose, Camryn Rose, Ethan Rose and Ethan Lewis; great-greatgrandchild, Piper Van Gorder and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Kathleen Hill, son, Elvin Gillikin, two grandchildren, Tonya Gillikin and Tara Gillikin, three brothers, Lauren Hill, Furlow Hill, and Henry Hill, three sisters, Aletha Ipock, Stella Thompson, and Sylvia Gillikin.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm Tuesday at the church.
Flowers are welcome, or memorials may be made to Otway Christian Church, 242 Gillikin Rd, Beaufort, NC 28516.
