Victor Pollock Mills
Victor P. Mills was born June 8, 1944 in Maysville,North Carolina and died May 23, 2014 at the Crystal Coast Hospice House at the age of 69.
Visitations were held on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 at Munden Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mark Mcneil from the McCotter Blvd Baptist Church officiating.
Victor joined the U.S. Air Force in November 1963 and retired with over 21 years in Jun 1985, During his service he worked as an Aircraft Mechanic and a Aircraft Crew Chief traveling all over the world and was stationed in many places such as in Scott Air Force Base, Illinois; Ramstein Air Base, Germany; Stuttgart Airfield, Germany; Robins Air Force Base, Georgia; DaNang Airfield, Vietnam; Loring Air Force Base, Maine; Westover Air Force Base, Massachusetts; Hancock Filed, NY and Hahn Air Base, Germany.
Victor also retired from NADEP Cherry Point, NC as an aircraft mechanic, Civil Service Employee in 2005.
Victor attended the McCotter Blvd. Baptist Church. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and the Newport Moose Lodge.
His passion was Family & Sports. He was an avid golfer and cheered for Duke.
He is survived by his wife of 47yrs Lilo Mills of the home, a daughter Victoria Currie of Newport; a son Stephen Mills of Hubert, NC; Three sisters Evangaline Murdoch of Greenville, NC, Judy Norris of Newport, NC and Jo Anne Cottle of Swansboro, NC; a brother Jimmy Mills of Newport; two grandchildren Ashley and Hannah, and one great grandchild Anastasia; and his “beloved dog” Holly.
He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Margaret Mills; son Roger Mills;two sisters Wanda Mizelle and Gerry Styron and a brother Carroll Mills.
