Veta McCain Yeager, 93, of Morehead City went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 7, 2015 surrounded by her family.
A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Saturday, November 14, 2015 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Veta was a member of the First Baptist Church for 58 years where she served in the baby nursery for 35 of those years. She loved her church and her family and spent her life serving both.
She is survived by her children, William Yeager of Pasadena, MD; Lucy Nettleton and husband Wes of Lawrenceville, GA; Patricia Carter and husband Dennis of Charlotte; Howard Yeager and wife Julie of Morehead City; Guy Yeager and wife Kathy of Tucson, AZ; Alberta Gillikin and husband Eddie of Morehead City; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; Sister, Doris Fodrie of Newport, NC; brother, Troy McCain of New Bern, NC; brother, Manly McCain and wife Nita of Deer Park, TX; sister, Jane Kobel and husband Gene of Matthews, NC; brother, E.L. McCain and wife Della of Newport, NC; also many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Ebenezer Yeager; one daughter, Jean Carol Yeager; one son, David Yeager; two daughters-in-law, Debra Yeager and Kathy Yeager.
The family would like to thank the Caregivers at Crystal Bluffs who loved their mama so well.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Friday, November 13, 2015 at Munden Funeral Home.
