Vernon C. Guthrie, Jr., 76, of Morehead City, died Sunday, October 3, 2010 at Britthaven of Newport.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Bayview Cemetery.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Chidsey and husband Timothy of New York; son, Kevin Guthrie of Morehead City; four grandchildren, Nichole Heine and husband Collin of Missouri, Ramon Farnum , Amanda Farnum, and Brittney Farnum all of New York; three great-grandchildren, Dana Manascalco, Erin Manascalco, and Asher Heine all of Missouri; brother, Wayne Guthrie of North Carolina and Polly Treshell of Morehead City.
The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday at Munden Funeral Home.
Flowers are welcome, or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Dr., Greenville, NC 27834.
