Vernon “Pete” Gray, Jr. age 75, of Newport, NC passed away Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Carteret General Hospital.
A graveside service will be held at 2pm Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8pm at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City, NC.
He was born May 21, 1935 in Chesapeake, VA to the late Vernon Lee and Mary Leigh Gray, Sr. Mr. Gray served in the United States Army and retired from Civil Service with 37 years service.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Gray of the home, one son; Brian Lee Gray, Sr. of Havelock, NC, one daughter; Jacquelyn G. Acha of Newport, NC, two sisters; Jeanette DeIulio of Chesapeake, VA and Elsie Niehoff of Orlando, FL, and six grandchildren.
