Verlie (Odom) Jones

Verlie Odom Jones, 102, of Morehead City, passed away Thursday, September 13­, 2018, at her home.

Her memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at Munden Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Patrick Whaley.

She is survived by son, Myron Jones and wife, Deanie, of Morehead City; brother, Cecil K. Odom of Mt. Olive; grandchildren, Teresa Jones of Morehead City, Sean Adams of Burlington, Dawn Adams of Morehead City; great-granddaughter, Chelsea Nelson of Morehead City; niece, Jane Head of Mt. Olive, Verlie Reeves of Mt. Olive, Sally Venable of Goldsboro, Angela Odom of Mt. Olive; and nephew, Keith Odom of Richmond, VA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew J. Jones; father, Jethro James Odom; mother, Janie Odom; sister, Sallie Belle Davis; brothers, James Tatum Odom, Melville Odom; great-grandson, Corey Penny.

Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at Munden Funeral Home.
