Vergie Mae (Gaskill) Gaskill

Vergie Mae Gaskill, 91, of Stacy, died Friday, April 4, 2014 Harnett Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Monday at Stacy Community Cemetery with Rev. Ernest Laxton officiating.
Vergie was a member of Stacy Free Will Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the choir. She was a US Postal Carrier for eight years serving Stacy and Sea Level communities. She then gained employment at Sea Level Hospital where she worked until her retirement.
She is survived by two daughters Phyllis Hunnings and husband Melvin of Otway, and Deborah Whittington and husband Don of Dunn; a son in-law Bruce Riegel of Raleigh; five grandchildren Stephanie Hancock and husband Mark, Susan Perkins and husband Chuck, Robert Hunnings, Donna Morton and husband Jim, and Phillip Whittington; a granddaughter in-law Angel Willis; ten great grandchildren Preston, Alyssa, Scott, Michael, Jessica, Rachel, Connor, William, Summer, and Eden; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Gaskill, parents Albert and Dorothy Gaskill, a daughter Bonnie Riegel, a granddaughter Gina Davis, a grandson Philip Willis, Jr., sisters Una Hardy, and Alma Mason, and a brother Elbert Gaskill.
Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 pm Sunday at Munden Funeral Home.
