Vera Mae (Corn) Green

Vera Mae Corn Green, 89, of Newport, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 10, 2017, at Grace Baptist church with Pastor Clyde Eborn and Pastor Dwayne Eborn officiating. Interment will be private.
Vera was very dedicated and loyal to her faith, and her church always came first. She was a charter member of Grace Baptist church for over 50 years.
She is survived by her sons; Wayne Green and wife Jean, Larry Green, and Donald Green; five grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Thompson Green; and her parents, Hillard and Lucy (Thorton) Corn.
The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church.
