Velva Lois Burroughs, 81, died peacefully at her daughter's residence on September 19, 2011.
Her funeral service will be 11:00am, Thursday, at Munden Funeral Home with the Rev. Anne Sims officiating. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Park.
She is survived by her daughter, Raye Ann Burroughs and husband Marty of New Bern; grandchildren, Jennifer Williamson, Melaney Burroughs, Ryan Maher, and Matthew Maher; and great-grandchildren, Liley and Boo Boo Flannagan.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
