Troy Edwards Hunter, Jr., 73, of Morehead City, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, surrounded by his family.
His funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Munden Funeral Home Chapel in Morehead City with Rev. Billy Knox and Pastor Ken Bartholomew officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Troy was the owner and operator of Hunter Painting Company since 1965.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Hunter of the home; two daughters, Jackie H. Baber and husband Donny of Morehead City and Angie H. Baylis and husband Richard of Newport; son, Trey Hunter and wife Genevieve of Beaufort; brothers, Jack Hunter and I.J. Hunter and wife Sally all of Morehead City; sisters, Eunice Browning of New Bern, Shirley Hunter of Morehead City, Jeanette Deibert and husband Glen of Stedman, Hazel Hardesty of New Bern, and Alice Hardesty of Mill Creek; and grandchildren, Chad Hunter, Caitlin Hunter, Caroline Baylis, Emme Baber, and Hunter Baylis.
He was preceded in death by his father, Troy Hunter; mother, Lillie Lee Hunter Garner; and sisters, Edna Glancy, and June Smith.
The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Munden Funeral Home.
