Tracy Gillikin House

Tracy Gillikin House, 61, of Greensboro NC, formerly of Otway NC, passed away from complications of dementia on November 4, 2023. She was a resident of the Guilford House Assisted Living and Memory Care Facility in Greensboro. 

A funeral service to honor Tracy’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 18^th at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City. Interment will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Friday, November 17^th also at the Funeral Home.

Tracy was born on July 6, 1962, at Sea Level Hospital to the late Hiram and Iva Gillikin of Otway. She graduated from East Carteret High School in 1980 and later acquired her Associate's Degree in Business from Carteret Community College. Tracy met her husband while working at the Golden Corral on Arendell Street in Morehead City and they went on to work for the company in multiple states for over 15 years. 

Tracy is survived by her husband of 40 years, Kevin House; son, Damian House of Durham; daughter, Kayla House Rouamvongsor and husband Will of Greensboro; sisters, Cheryl Jones of Raleigh, and Linda Burns and husband Willie of Punta Gorda FL; brother, Mark Gillikin of Otway; and nephew Brantley Burns of Cape Coral FL. 

In addition to her parents, Tracy was preceded in death by her younger brother, Michael Gillikin of Otway, and niece, Allison Burns of Morehead City NC.

The family wants to thank the management and staff of the Guilford House where Tracy lived since October of 2021. Their compassionate support and attention to her care were a great relief to her family. They were always welcoming and friendly to all who visited.
