Tracy Curry Beam, 60, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Duke University Hospital.
A memorial service to honor Tracy’s life will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, July 27th at Munden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from one hour prior to the service. Tracy will be laid to rest at Gethsemane Memorial Park. For those unable to attend, the service can be viewed through her obituary page on Munden Funeral Home’s website. The service will remain on the Funeral Home website for 90 days.
Tracy's passion for history and heritage shone brightly through her involvement with the Daughters of the American Revolution, where she proudly served as Regent for many years. As a direct descendant of a patriot from the American Revolution, Tracy dedicated herself wholeheartedly to the cause of historic preservation, education, and patriotism. Her commitment to honoring the brave patriots of our nation's past leaves a legacy that will endure for generations to come.
Above all else, Tracy cherished her family with a love that knew no bounds. Her devotion to her loved ones was unwavering, and her presence brought light and warmth to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Joe “Buddy” Beam Jr.; daughter, Sarah M. Beam of Morehead City; mother, Katherine Hudson Wiggins (Robert) of Morehead City; sisters, Tonya Bibbins (Matt) of Waynesville, Katherine Ann Turnage (Jay) of Morehead City, Sandy Baker of New Bern, and Diane Mason (Jerry) of Clinton; and brother, John Wesley Curry Jr. (Dawn) of Ayden.
Tracy was preceded in death by her father, John Wesley Curry.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carteret County Humane Society.
