Tommy Ray Benham, 62, of Havelock, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2020, at Carolina East Medical Center.
Mr. Benham will be laid to rest, with military honors, at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida.
Tommy was born on September 14, 1957, in Gadson, Alabama, to Eleanor Benham and the late Charles East. He honorably served in the United States Army before entering Civil Service as an Aircraft Mechanic. He worked at MCAS Cherry Point until he retired due to medical issues. If you knew Tommy, you knew about his skill with playing pool and his talented ability to as a pool shooter. He will be remembered as a loving many with a big heart who took joy in being able to give to others.
He is survived by his significant other, Paula Terrell of the home; son, Jerry Ray Benham of Pensacola, FL; mother, Elanor Benham of Pensacola, FL; sister, Brenda Benham of Pensacola, FL; brother, Randy East of Sacramento, CA; granddaughter, Brandy Nichole Benham of Tennessee.
In addition to his father, Tommy was preceded in death by sister, Debbie Floyd; and beloved furry friends, Scooter who was a Chiweenie and Sandy who was a Golden Retriever.
