Todd Joseph Stuchel, 58, of South River, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021, at his home.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2021, at Carteret Memorial Gardens, officiated by Rev. Bryan Lassiter.
Todd was born December 10, 1962, in Monroe County, Iowa to the late William Stuchel and Sharon Long. He loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting, and was a big animal lover of all kinds. Merle Haggard’s country outlaw style of music was favorite sound. Folk rock was another genre Todd enjoyed, “Mr. Bojangles” being his favorite. As a skilled painter, he worked numerous years in that field and in several different communities. Most importantly, Todd loved his family and his fur baby.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Stuchel of the home; children, Khristene Stuchel (Eddie) of Hope Mills and Joseph Stuchel of Hope Mills; sister, Theresa Hoover (Scott) of Raleigh; brothers, Scott Stuchel (Lynn) and Patrick Stuchel, all of Wake Forest; his beloved fur baby, Scooter; grandchildren, Alyssa, Emily, Dominique, and Damion; nieces and nephews, Lyndsey Stuchel, Amber Lindamood, Meghan Stuchel, and Tyler Stuchel; and sister-in-law, Karen Long of Raleigh.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory “Greg” Stuchel.
