Timothy “Tim” L. Jackson 62, of Morehead City, NC gave up the ghost peacefully, at home,Sunday, May 10, 2015 surrounded by family after a long illness.

A memorial service will be held 7:30 pm Thursday at Munden Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Causey officiating.

He was born on June 7, 1952 in Bluefield WVA to Steve L and Ruth Lambert Jackson. A native of Bluefield, VA he graduated from Graham High School, proudly served in the US Navy as QM3 on the USS William M Wood stationed in Greece, upon its decommissioning he proudly served on the USS Independence, stationed in Norfolk Va. He attended J Sergeant Reynolds Community College, Richmond Va. A Long time member of the American Legion Unit 248 of New Roads LA. Longtime standing  member and supporter of Family Worship Center of Baton Rouge LA.  Retired as Supertentendant of the Maintenance Dept for Valero Energy Inc. from their Krotz Springs facility. Served many years on the Board of the United Way.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Nancy Baldwin-Jackson of the home, one daughter, Brandi D. Stanley, spouse David, 2 granddaughters Alyssa and Alexis, one grandson David all of Denham Springs LA. Mother, Ruth Jackson, sister, Brenda Kretzer and spouse Ron, brother, Randy and spouse Kerrie all of Bluefield Va. Sister-in-law Carolyn Tabor, Betty Donnelly and spouse Jim, Mary Baldwin and spouse Paul Graham all of Morehead City NC. Numerous uncles and aunts, nieces and nephews from all around the country.

He was preceded in death by his father, Steve L. Jackson.

The family will receive friends 6:00 - 7:30 pm Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home. Friends may call upon the family after the service at the family home.
