Timothy E. Golden

Timothy E. Golden, 76, of Morehead City, North Carolina, formerly of Islip, New York, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at the home of his daughter Toni.

A memorial service to honor Timothy’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, November 2^nd at Munden Funeral Home, officiated by Deacon Jim Strange.

Timothy was born on September 1, 1947, to the late Edwin and Alice Golden. He was born and raised in Islip, New York, located on the Great South Bay of Long Island. Timothy made the move South in 2011, settling on the coast in Carteret County, NC.

Timothy had a long and successful career as a carpenter in the construction field. His meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence made him highly respected among his colleagues.

Outside of his work, Timothy was an avid sprint car racing fan thoroughly captivated by the high-speed action and thrill. Being from New York, he was a dedicated Yankees fan who happily cheered them on through all their wins.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his devoted daughters, Toni Bender (James) of Newport, NC, Tracy Golden (Karen) of Havelock, NC; sons, Christopher Finno of Florida, Shawn Golden (Kathryn) and T.J. Golden, all of New York; daughter-in-law, Sandy Finno of New York; 15 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

In addition to his parents, Timothy was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Anne Golden in 2018; sisters, Dorothy Herring and Trudy Manfredi; and son, John Finno.
