Thomas "Tommy" Ernie Ward, 58, of Newport, died Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Carteret General Hospital.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Salter Path United Methodist Church with Rev. David Bratton and Rev. Bobby Howard officiating.
Tommy is survived by his father Thomas Ward of Lyn, IN; mother Thelma Oshields of Salter Path; a son Joshua Alex Ward of Gainsville, FL; a daugther Monica Ward of Newport; brother Tony Edward Ward of Salter Path; sisters Tina Ellen Culbreth of Newport, Tracy Elaine Ward, Darlene Lewis, and Stephanie Harvey all of Salter Path; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Alex and Gertrude Guthrie, god parents Donald and Violet Howard, and uncle and aunt Dewey and Gladys Lewis.
