Thomas Poole Jr

Thomas Poole Jr. of Beaufort passed away Friday, January 29, 2016 at Carteret Health Care.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, February 1, 2016 at Munden Funeral Home, Morehead City with Pastor Manley B. Rose Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.

Thomas was born December 14, 1943. Married Joanne Mazzarella on September 10, 1984. He attended the Refuge Fellowship Church. Thomas Honorably served in the US Coast Guard 1963-1967 Vietnam Era. Worked for the Civil Service Division at MCAS until 1980. Loving, husband, father, grandfather and friend to all.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne Poole; stepson, Keith Moore Jr. and wife Lisa of Beaufort; two daughters, Jamie Ansel and Husband Victor of  Morehead City, NC         and Shannon O’neal of Morehead City; seven grandchildren, Arron Ansel, Ben Ansel, Timothy Ansel, Kate Winebreger, Caleb O’neal, Cody O’neal, Curren O’neal and Faith Moore; five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas H. Poole Sr. and Helen W. Poole; one brother, David Poole; one sister, Linda Poole and one stepson, Bobby Moore.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to East Carteret High School,  Marching Mariner Band, in Memory of Thomas Poole Jr, 3263 Hwy 70 Beaufort, NC 28516.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Munden Funeral Home.
