Thomas Blackburn Holcomb

Thomas Blackburn Holcomb, 67, of Emerald Isle and formerly of Winston Salem, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Carteret Health Care.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Munden Funeral Home.

Thomas was born on June 8, 1954, in Forsythe County, North Carolina, to the late Pete and Jean Holcomb. After working with Pepsi for 25 years, Thomas ventured into a new career where he owned and operated First Mate Pool and Spa. His love for the beach encouraged him to inch his way over to the Crystal Coast from Winston to Greenville to New Bern and finally settling in Emerald Isle. Thomas loved his family and cherished time with them.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta Holcomb of the home; daughter, Janelle Blackmon and husband Jax of Emerald Isle; sons, Peter Thomas Holcomb and wife Lillianne of Raleigh; grandchildren, Declan Holcomb, Aurora Holcomb, Peter Michael Blackmon, and Nova Blackmon and significant other Gregory Gibbs; great granddaughter, Melody Rose Gibbs; niece, Katie Jewell; and nephew, Tyler Jewell
